A food monkz observation

You might think all I know is food. Sorry to knock ur hustle. Choco knows one or two things about football, like on Wednesday 8th of May, Sir Alex Fergerson resigned. A few good friends and I watched him being interviewed on BBC while we were knocking down some bottles of water. Anyways we couldnt help but notice the presenter, who my guy said is a veteran BBC broadcaster. Well this led us to the obvious question we Nigerians ask when gathered together, either to drink, occupy Ojota, or just in a jobless state. This tyme it was about our veteran tv presenters, from Madam Benamaisia Opia, to Cyril Stober, Patrick Doyle and finally my favourite, Frank Olize…..What happened to that man?….Wow, the only thing that kept us in the palour at 9:00pm on a Sunday night was Newsline, anchored by Frank "the man" Olize…..

                                                      

It's funny how I typed his name on Google and didn't see anything worthwhile on him besides comments from other people's blogs about his daughter Jennifer…Abeg, google Jeromi Clark, Larry King, or even Jerry springer and see how many slaps of info google go give u, but our own Hero Uncle Frank has no history online. I'm very sure if you google Ogbeni "Wizkid", you'll find an epistle on that one o…well the good part is that the man is doing well for himself; heard he's got a nice home in VGC and his family is well-to-do. Thank God…but let's gist about this guy sef…From all I can remember, a young, good looking man that got our mumz glued to the tv set with a calm unique voice, always in the right frame of mind even after delivering bad news to the public. That to me was the best part, having to deliver the sickest of news to the Nigerian public and still find a way to end the show with more than just a smile. There was even a time that they used mouth to 'kee' him jst like they did frank Spencer, but God pass them, the Man is well. 

     These days on-air presenters are treated like gods, with all more respect and ovation. But the truth is a lot of these guyz took their roots from veteran Nigerian presenters like Uncle Frank. Funny enough, one of my favourite on-air personalties is "Mazino" of Smooth 98.7, with his compelling voice and appealing personality that reminds me of the great Frank Olize…..I hope Frank gets more rewards on this earth (as e nor be teacher) for his great contributions, not only to journalism but to the lives of Nigerianz…..if say Uncle Frank na food, i would have rated him 7 spoonz…….well, its back to drinking waters with the boyz again…Cheerz
